Optimization for Soxhlet Extraction of Total Flavonoids from Eggplant Root by Using Response Surface Methodology
AbstractResponse surface methodology was applied to optimize the soxhlet extraction of total flavonoids from eggplant root． The optimum particle size 50mu of eggplant root powder was determined by the relationship between the pretreatment and extraction rate of eggplant root． Thanol concentration，extraction time and the amount of solvent were selected as the investigation factors and the yield of total flavonoids was used as the response values．On the basis of single factor experiment，the extraction process of total flavonoids was optimized by using the response surface methodology．Experiment result showed that the ptimum extraction technology was determined as follows:ethanol concentration 42%，extraction time 3．5h，the amount of solvent 26ml / g，powder mesh of 50．Under the optimum extraction conditions，the predictive and experimental values of total flavonoids from eggplant root were 0．424% and 0．425%，respectively，the relative error between themwas 0．24%．
